Responsibilities
Willow Springs Center has an opening for the Director of Behavioral Health. The Director of Behavioral Health Services is responsible for the overall management of the Milieu Department, the Activity Coordinators, and the Scheduler. The Director of Behavioral Health Services ensures the efficient functioning of the therapeutic milieu through developing both immediate and ongoing strategies. Consistently communicates with the Registered Nurses on shift, Director of Nursing, and the Director of Clinical Services. Works directly with patients to assist them succeed in the milieu program and ensure the patients safety while on the unit, at school or participating in an activity. MHTs & Activity Coordinators have the primary responsibility for running groups on the unit and for ensuring that the daily schedule is followed. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in an inpatient/outpatient psychiatric/mental health setting with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques, demonstrated understanding of mental illness and related behavioral management techniques required. Minimum of 3-5 years of supervision required. Experience in the development of therapeutic programs targeted for special population preferred. EEO Statement |
