Memorial Road, OKC OK 73120 Shift: Full-Time, Midshift: 8:30am - 7:00pm / 4 days / 10hr shifts / oncall required Responsibilities The OHH Registered Nurse is responsible for direct patient care in the assigned department and as needed in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to federal and state regulations. Actively participates in the routine checks of all equipment used in the cath lab. Collaborates with the team leader, resource nurse and all other team members in idea sharing, utilization of resources, as well as assists in the cross training of the staff when assigned. Assists the team leader as needed for projects aimed at achieving the hospital mission and incorporating the values of the hospital in day-to-day activities. Participates in and encourages teamwork to provide patient-focused care. This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position, which means OHH reasonably believes this position could affect the safety and health of her or her own self and others. Serves as a role model promoting the Oklahoma Heart Hospital culture. Serves on Multidisciplinary task forces as needed to provide the continuum of care to all patients. Actively participates in administering patient care. Documents all pertinent patient information needed. Accurately assesses each patient to provide excellent patient focused care in pre, peri, and post procedure setting. Maintains patient confidentiality. Maintains universal precautions. Applies the knowledge of growth and development to appropriate patient populations. Participates in performance improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and staff satisfaction performing surveys as necessary. Ensures the provision of a safe and comforting environment. Assists families and patients by teaching the skills and information necessary for successful pre and post-operative care, incorporating age-specific criteria and assessment of readiness to learn. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse with current Oklahoma licensure, ACLS within 18 months of hire and current BLS certification required. CCRN preferred. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous cath lab experience preferred. Previous critical care experience preferred. Working Knowledge: Able to monitor, scrub, and/or circulate on all Cath Lab procedures including Electro physiology, Pacemaker and AICD insertions Every team member at OHH plays an integral role in our patients' experience.
