The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator will be reporting to the Chair of the Neurology Faculty Committee on appointments and promotions (COAP) and Department Administrator.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for gathering and preparing monthly agendas with the Chair of COAP
  • Represent the office at the monthly meetings of the Retention/Recruitment Committee (RRC), Committee of Appointments and Promotion (COAP), as well as processing minutes and the outcome of each meeting
  • Process and submit the tenure dossier and promotional packets of title changes to Faculty Affairs and provide status update to the Chair of COAP
  • Coordinate the 4th year review meetings
  • Provide general administrative support to the Chair of the COAP Committee
  • Manage the calendar, including scheduling of calls and meetings via Zoom and/or in person
  • Booking travel and preparing expenses reports
  • Coordinating laboratory-related purchases
  • Other duties as assigned/required


Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Experience with faculty promotions.


Other Requirements



  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Teams, and Zoom.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills; ability to prioritize assignments and follow up.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once and work with various offices.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to execute complex tasks under demanding deadlines.
  • Able to preserve confidential information.
