Position Summary

Under general supervision, oversees, coordinates, and advises a variety of activities and programs associated with student campus life, to include the student government, campus-wide events, programming boards, and other related student programs. This position will advise ASUNM Southwest Film Center (Independent/Student Movies), ASUNM Lobo Spirit, and Mortar Board Honor Society.

This position coordinates campus-wide programs including Mid Week Movies (Hollywood Blockbusters), Red Rally, Homecoming, Hanging of the Greens, Cherry Reel Film Festival, Lobo Day, Graduation Flower Sales, Lobopalooza, and more. This position will assist with executing campus-wide programs including: Friday Night Live, Welcome Back Days, Fiestas, Silent Lights, Lobo's Got Talent, Harry Potter Day, Star Wars Day, and more. It oversees two to three student employees working at the movie theater. This position must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Higher Education Administration or similar field
  • Experience advising college entertainment programming boards/committees
  • Experience advising college student government committees
  • Experience supervising staff/student staff
  • Experience developing and executing college campus-wide programs
