Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes -Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. -Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. -Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities. -Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed. -Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication. -Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Education Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Various Issuers required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology [CCC-SLP] - American Speech Language Hearing Association required Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - preferred Acute hospital experience 0-1 year preferred Physical Requirements
