This is a Temporary Position.

JOB PURPOSE: Endeavors seeks a Resettlement Case Associate to coordinate core services for recently arrived refugees (plus other ORR-eligible populations) and provide case management in support of the Preferred Communities Case Manager in the Preferred Communities (PC) Refugee and Entrant Assistance (REA) programs, including clients in the Cuban/Haitian Initial Services (CHIS), the Intensive Case Management (ICM), and Gap Services programs. This role works towards the goal of obtaining client self-sufficiency, as defined in their individual needs assessments and service plans. Key responsibilities will be supporting client case management and ensuring proper documentation of services in client case files and case note logs. This role has external contact with clients, volunteers, representatives of other social services agencies, and the community.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Work in partnership with supervisor on planning for and coordinating services for clients.
  • Collaborate with client to develop individualized service plan that addresses short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Assist with client check-ins, home visits, screenings, assessments, and referrals in accordance with the Preferred Communities program plan and service timeline.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify strengths, challenges, and needs in the resettlement process, and to create self-sufficiency service plans through an inclusive, strengths-based, and client-centric approach.
  • Track and document client progress in accessing and maintaining services for families and children, social adjustment, employment, basic needs, English language acquisition, knowledge of U.S. culture/institutions, and assistance services.
  • Assist with applications for Social Security cards, Employment Authorization Documents, driver's licenses, school enrollment, among other public benefits, as appropriate.
  • Track client funding in concert with supervisor according to the contractual requirements.
  • Arrange appropriate interpretation services and transportation for clients.
  • Document client interaction and service in a timely manner and in compliance with program requirements.
  • Advocate on behalf of the clients throughout the broader community.
  • Works collaboratively with Preferred Communities Case Manager and volunteers to maximize assistance to clients.
  • Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Understanding of available community resources that impact and/or benefit the targeted client needs.
  • Knowledge of basic client management procedures for determining eligibility, assessing needs, identifying resources, making referrals, following up, and documenting client interactions and proactively supporting client's pursuit of goals.
  • Fluency in both English and a second language (especially Spanish, Haitian Creole, and/or French) is strongly preferred.


EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 6 months - 1 year of relevant professional experience.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Valid drivers' license with access to reliable transportation

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Ability to work outside of the 9-5 schedule, as needed. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability while being a team player.
