What you'll do:

Records and maintains control of all inventories, miscellaneous items that flow through Receiving, and ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.

As a Receiving Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Distribution of all incoming items to proper personnel
  • Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items
  • Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders or other records
  • New items all put through the first article process, all inventoried items accounted for and replenished via Kanban or reorder techniques, proper quality checks completed, all paperwork done correctly and posted daily
  • Dock and Truck duties, meaning unload shipments, if necessary, from trucks, remove and dispose of packaging material, operate forklifts, stock items and hand trucks
  • Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log
  • Assists in shipping during increased demand
  • Assists with receiving in rental and trial items
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 0-2 years related experience

What you'll bring:

  • Great Plains preferred, Horizons, Excel
  • Ability to relate information in a timely, clear and concise manner to relevant personnel
  • Possible APICS involvement
  • Prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
  • Lift 75-80lbs occasionally, 35-40 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to identify and measure quality-defined standards
  • Ability to work with interruptions
  • Keep up in a fast-paced work setting
