Position Summary

EBI Consulting is seeking a dynamic person for the full-time position of Business Development Representative to join our Business Development Operations team and support all EBI's sales efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the company in developing excellent customer relationships with all existing and potential customers in commercial real estate, banking, investment, and commercial/retail services through informative, efficient, and friendly service. The candidate will perform early sales funnel outreach to leads and key company targets as part of top business development initiatives. This position requires a high level of communication with clients to help find new business as well as internal team members to develop strategy and messaging on the go.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development Operations and successful candidates will work from our soon to be opened office in San Diego, CA, in-office, five days per week. As such, candidates need to be established in the San Diego area, comfortable working in an office environment, and willing to commute to San Diego daily. This is an early career position for someone interested in sales or sales operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Perform lead generation through research utilizing tools such as ZoomInfo, HubSpot and LinkedIn to generate new leads and upload them into EBI's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Perform background research on targets (new clients or existing) to develop accurate and detailed messaging
  • Execute early sales funnel outreach (phone calls and emails) to assigned and researched leads to set meetings and find opportunities for EBI's sales team
  • Qualify leads and opportunities as sales targets and hand-off to Account Executives
  • Work alongside account executives, technical and functional project managers, marketing, and sales leadership to develop campaign strategies, messaging and outreach
  • Manage lead, contact, account, and opportunity record accuracy and cleanliness within EBI's CRM system
  • Manage inbound phone line and web inquiry leads as assigned



Qualifications and Capabilities



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Communications, or similar from accredited college or university
  • Ability to learn new software systems and reporting tools with relative ease
  • Comfortability making outbound phone calls
  • Experience with Salesforce, Netsuite or other CRM preferred but not required

The reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $68,000 - $72,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position may also be eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered will be based on a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to; geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, knowledge, skills/level, qualifications and budget.
