Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant Location: Salem, OR 97301 Duration: 3 Months to long term Shift: Standard Shift Onsite: Yes Role & Responsibilities: Record patient's medical history, vital statistics, clinical summary, and health maintenance. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examination, keeping the rooms neat, clean, and stocked. Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, height, allergies and current medications. Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the Physician. Give medically appropriate instructions to patients under the direction of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Upload documentation to EMR. Ensure all related patient information is in electronic record prior to appointment. Prepare FMLA, prior authorizations and disability paperwork. Coordinate outside care for patients for dialysis, SNFs, other outpatient infusion clinic, foster care homes, home health and home infusion agencies under the direction of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Schedule new and follow up appointments. Clean and sanitize patients' rooms. Required Skills: Patient Care: Assisting with patient examinations, including taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for procedures. Administrative Tasks: Scheduling appointments, preparing medical records, and managing patient information. Clinical Duties: Performing basic laboratory tests, drawing blood, and administering medications under supervision. Documentation: Recording patient information in electronic medical records (EMRs). Communication: Communicating with patients and families regarding medical information and instructions under the direction of a healthcare provider.
