Job Title: Portfolio Manager - Individual securities focus in growth equity and fixed income investing.

Location: This position is located in New Haven, CT, and may be remote or hybrid within CT and RI.

Washington Trust Advisors, a growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager. We are seeking a highly analytical and client-focused Portfolio Manager with a strong track record in equity and fixed income investing and portfolio construction. The ideal candidate combines deep market insight with exceptional stock-picking ability, and thrives in a role that blends investment strategy with client relationship management. You'll also play a key role in business development, investment analysis, and committee participation.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Construct and manage customized equity (and fixed income) portfolios aligned with client objectives and risk profiles
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research to identify high-conviction investment opportunities
  • Monitor portfolio performance and adjust allocations based on market conditions and client needs
  • Communicate investment strategy, performance, and market outlook to clients with clarity and confidence
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and advisors
  • Collaborate with internal research, trading, and compliance teams to ensure seamless portfolio execution


Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, equity research, or asset management
  • Demonstrated success in stock selection and portfolio performance
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation techniques, and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset
  • CFA designation strongly preferred
  • Series 65 license required
