Senior Copywriter

Progyny is looking for a Senior Copywriter to focus on digital content for Progyny's onboarded and active members across several new & established product lines. This person will collaborate extensively with Progyny's subject matter experts (SMEs) to create content that can be leveraged in member digital experiences. Success in this role will require a holistic approach to member communications - starting from initial onboarding all the way through to a successful clinical outcome and advancing into the next appropriate journey. Does this sound like you?

You're an experienced copywriter who can quickly craft smart, engaging, health-educational content for consumers and can do so across multiple digital channels & mediums. Ideally, you have experience working in a pharma, design, or marketing agency and know your way around concepts, project briefs, stakeholder presentations, and juggling multiple projects. A patient/member-focused writing background in another healthcare setting could also work.

What you'll do...

• Create member-friendly educational content that encourages Progyny members to engage with our products, taking key actions that lead to better health outcomes

• Write approachable member-facing materials on clinically complex topics such as infertility & menopause, other women's health topics, and financial responsibilities

• Collaborate with our Member Services, Clinical, and Product teams to concept, research, outline and write short, compelling, educational, member-friendly content to be used in email series, articles, video scripting, in-app content, or other digital formats

• Partner with current Senior Copywriter to own foundational projects that help craft long-term content strategy guidance (content audits, style guides), while tackling the creation of new content for our product line

• Think beyond the brief; be able to conduct additional background research on topics & also pull from your previous health experience

• Maintain a cohesive member voice for Progyny to be used across digital communication channels

• Provide editorial and proofreading reviews when needed

About you...

• 10+ years in writing patient/member facing communications and/or marketing in a healthcare environment

• Deep omnichannel engagement experience, using digital communications to influence patient/member behavior

• Proficient in writing both short- and long-form copy in educational and promotional applications that include rounds of iterations on a single topic, including clinical review from physicians and partnering with Progyny SMEs

• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization - from individual contributors to c-suite - clearly presenting your work and reasoning while remaining affable

• Appreciation for health literacy and able to write to a suitable reading level

• Experience working with digital designers to optimize content for UX best practices

• Data-driven mindset that drives decision-making

• Strong knowledge of healthcare communications regulatory requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a minimal amount of supervision

• BA/BS degree in a writing, creative, or liberal arts field

• Must have an opinion on the use of the Oxford comma

Preferred qualifications...

• Experience in women's healthcare highly desired

• Experience creating short-form module style learning highly desired

• Experience developing content for a multi-product organization

• Survey design experience a plus!

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] for NYC-based applicants is: $140,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
