VP, Operations - BMS About the Role Thiscritical operations leadership roleis responsible for transforming and optimizing manufacturing operations within the Security/Controls/Fire Detection business, overseeing plant efficiency, supply chain modernization, and operational excellence across multiple production facilities. The VP of Operations will lead the integration of various businesses, establish a streamlined manufacturing system, and drive end-to-end supply chain effectiveness while fostering continuous improvement across operations. How you will do it:
Manufacturing Leadership:Oversee the strategic and operational management of production plants, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with business objectives. Operational Transformation & Business Integration:Lead the consolidation and optimization of various businesses into a unified, standardized manufacturing system. Supply Chain & Planning Modernization:Implement best practices in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and material control. Plant & Site Operations Management:Ensure seamless collaboration with production teams, drive lean manufacturing initiatives, and establish operational excellence. Technology & System Enhancement:Utilize SAP for manufacturing operations and implement modern analytics for data-driven decision-making. Process Improvement & Change Management:Deploy JCMS Material Control principles and best-in-class manufacturing methodologies to enhance execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with internal stakeholders, branches, and third-party partners to align operations with business needs. Financial & Strategic Oversight:Ensure manufacturing operations drive profitability and cost efficiencies while supporting long-term capital investment planning. Hands-On Leadership & Site Engagement:Regularly engage with teams at Reynosa, Juarez, and other production sites, providing strategic direction and problem-solving expertise.
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or similar, APICS certification and/or MBA or advanced degree a plus. 10-15 years of experience in supply chain planning, S&OP, and materials control, with operational expertise in manufacturing, production, and warehousing. Manufacturing Operations Expertise:Deep understanding of plant operations, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems. End-to-End Supply Chain Knowledge:Strong expertise across procurement, production, planning, logistics, distribution, and S&OP. Contract Manufacturing & SMT Management:Experience in overseeing contract manufacturing and surface mount technology (SMT). Financial Acumen:Understanding P&L impacts, cost management, and capital investment planning. ERP Systems & Data Analytics:SAP expertise, with preferred experience in visibility tools (Power BI, Tableau). Electronics manufacturing backgroundwith strong supply chain management experience. Spanish-speaking professional based in the U.S., ideally in Texas.
