Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As appropriate to position, contribute to branch, department, and/or market/practice area use of up-to-date and rigorous technical methods, computer programs, and practice tools.
- As appropriate to position, contribute to branch, department, and/or market/practice area continuing education programs (which may include in-house seminars, external seminars, and training in accordance with company policy, technical paper preparation and presentations, research and development activity, etc.).
- Develop and maintain technology leadership and marketplace visibility in personal market/practice area.
- Champion quality and demonstrate leadership by personal high standards for work processes and products and exemplary service to clients.
- Successfully manage one or more projects of importance to Geosyntec and/or provide special or unique technical or client-related contributions to such projects. Perform activities to achieve goals of technical excellence, budget control, schedule compliance, quality control, client satisfaction, and project profitability.
- Manage all assigned work to meet contract requirements, appropriate codes and regulations, regulatory compliance or enforcement requirements, and industry standard-of-care criteria.
- As appropriate, periodically meet with client to evaluate Geosyntec project performance and degree of client satisfaction (both during the project and at project completion). Evaluate project team performance and provide feedback and mentoring to the team.
- Comply with the firm's Quality Management Plan (QMP) and Work Flow Guidance including the preparation of practice-specific Quality Implementation Plans.
- Promote Geosyntec corporate culture of technical excellence, high quality deliverables, outstanding client service, and exceptional teamwork.
- Actively support and participate in the company health and safety program by enforcing health and safety standards, regulations and procedures.
- As appropriate to position, generate a negotiated amount in net revenue annually (billings and contract backlog). Provide new or follow-on assignments with existing clients.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discpline. (required)
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- At least 15 years of professional applicable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience includes performing increasingly complex and varied technical and project assignments, supervising professional and administrative employees, managing multiple large projects, and achieving success in business development and client relationship-building activities. (required)
- Ability to respond effectively to difficult inquiries or complaints. (required)
- Ability to make effective speeches and oral presentations on significant topics to senior management, public groups, client officials, and other stakeholders. (required)
- Ability to deal with the most complex interpersonal situations involving clients, regulatory or review personnel, supervisors, or subordinates. (required)
