About the Opportunity:

As a Machinist you will have the opportunity to shape metal, plastic, or other materials into precise parts, instruments, and tools. Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, set up and operate machinery, and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality!

Location: Eastford, CT

This is a full-time role 3:30 pm to 12 AM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Review Drawings, and instructions to understand specifications
• Monitor machines while running changing tools, offsets when necessary
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously
• Inspect output using basic inspection equipment and quick-check gaging
• Use Kaizen to flow parts and drive down costs
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time according to Company policy
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Entry Level with On The Job Training available
• High School Diploma or GED
• Good at Math with analytical abilities
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Strong Mechanical skills

-Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal

-Willingness to learn new skills

-Self-starter/motivated team player

-2+ years' experience in setup and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes.

-Perform secondary operations as required: Deburring, Assembly, Marking, etc.

-Ability to make tool adjustments and changes

Physical Requirements:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Ability to lift 30-50lbs
• Ability to be on your feet all day
• Perform repetitive tasks
