The Community Outreach Analyst will coordinate/implement the day to day administrative and programmatic activities of the Center for Community Outreach and Engagement in the Rural community. This position will assist with community clinical linkages while implementing strategies to increase cancer screening uptake. The analyst facilitates participant appointments; conducts community education, outreach, and dissemination activities to increase cancer screening, prevention and early detection including awareness of and participation in clinical trials and research among communities in the rural area of Ohio. Works with community partners to empower and encourage rural and underserved men and women to go to the doctor on a regular basis, obtain age-appropriate cancer health screenings, and adopt healthy lifestyles. Promote optimal use of the CCOE programs. Support the community cancer coalitions in rural Ohio. Work with existing and establish new community partners in the Rural community to promote community clinical linkages to educational programming and mobile cancer screening services. Assists with the implementation of the outreach and education to the Rural community including promotion of mobile screening related programs. Conduct community education, outreach, and dissemination activities to promote optimal use of the CCOE programs and initiatives. Partner with key organizations and groups to incorporate cancer awareness and screening into existing health education opportunities. Support our networks within the rural communities of Ohio to ensure that NCI-related messages, products, and programs are disseminated in a timely manner; Disseminate cancer awareness, screening, nutrition, and physical activity messages as part of every partnership activity; Coordinate community awareness and education outreach activity and events aimed at increasing knowledge and facilitating behavior change. Prepares reports. Attends meetings and provides updates on project requirements.
