Position Summary: Sr. Accountant-Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position is required to accurately and within deadlines, complete month end close and annual budgets for 462 Shared Services and/or 801 National Call Center, and other entities as assigned. Duties include analysis of financial data, trends, and metrics. This position must have a solid understanding of intercompany and cash/banking related accounting allocations. Backing up certain duties assigned to the Accounting Coordinator is required. Additionally, responsibilities include various related duties including providing support to the Accounting Manager as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely completion of month-end close including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis, and Financial Packages
  • Analyze and properly allocate various and complex intercompany charges hitting the ledger to the correct entities
  • Analyze and properly allocate various and complex banking/cash reports and entries to correctly charge the appropriate entities with the appropriate dollars
  • Accurate and timely completion of annual budgets including presentation to the Regional Director
  • Assist the Accounting Manager as needed, including review of A/P batches and vendor maintenance

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Communication (written and verbal) interpersonal
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of Excel
  • Leadership skills
