Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned) Works with geo-scientists and reservoir engineers to develop detailed objectives for all new drilling projects. Develops drilling cost estimates ranging from simple scoping estimates to probabilistic cost estimates. Reviews offset wells and identify risks and hazards, as well as best practices. Develops detailed well designs and perform casting stress calculations. Evaluates and recommends equipment and procedures of contractors and vendors as well as helps to develop and implement new technologies. Provides technical support to field operations. Monitors drilling operations according to safety and quality control standards, environmental regulations, corporate policy and contract terms. Tracks drilling costs and communicate them effectively to stakeholders. Job Responsibilities
