MPI Senior Marketing and Communications Manager

SUMMARY

Our Mortenson Properties team is seeking an experienced marketing leader to play an important role in the growth of our business. This role requires strong executive communication skills, a passion for writing and storytelling, and excitement for building something new.

This individual will collaborate with group leadership, construction businesses, and centralized marketing resources to create compelling materials, develop celebratory stories, and deliver impactful marketing content that helps us win clients and promote our brand within multiple markets across the country.

As a one-person marketing department, you will enjoy a great deal of trust and autonomy, with the expectation of adhering to the company brand standards. A collaborative approach will be necessary to partner with business leaders to establish content calendars, set goals and deadlines, and ensure you meet established goals and ROI. Beyond managing competing priorities and deadlines, you will produce a variety of stories, posts, emails, and presentations that attract and retain clients. RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop marketing strategy and implementation plan, collaborate with leadership for budgets, execute plan, measure results, adjust throughout the year
  • Create and manage content/campaign calendar, partner with executives and subject matter experts on timing
  • Optimize marketing budget across mediums, identify best use to reach target audiences
  • Set target business goals, marketing KPIs, established metrics, monthly reporting on results
  • Learn targets and industries to ensure work product reflects client's language and resonates with target audience
  • Translate offerings into quantifiable business value for clients, including messaging and infographics
  • Generate insights for thought leadership and brand building strategies, distinguish Mortenson Properties from competition
  • Write and layout thought leadership content, brochures, client meeting presentations, internal communications, and other marketing materials
  • Ensure stakeholders and subject matter experts are aligned and ready to meet production schedule
  • Be the guardian of brand voice and style, ensure consistency across touchpoints, leverage company best practices, templates, tools, and support available


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum seven years of experience in marketing, B2B writing, content marketing, or sales enablement, ideally in B2B services industry
  • Experience in real estate investment, property management, and tenant attraction strategies preferred
  • Proficiency in writing content for business-to-business audiences; competency in identifying key messaging and quantifying value to customers
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with understanding of graphic layout and visual hierarchy
  • Strong ability to create PowerPoint messages and visuals; sharp visual organization of information
  • Agility to serve on a fast-paced team; adept at organizing, tracking, and delivering multiple assignments at once
  • Enjoy researching and learning new industries and service offerings; ability to identify key drivers and pain points shaping customer's mindset
  • Develop cohesive narratives around solutions and case studies
  • Experience with best practices in writing for digital mediums and working with digital asset management tools and brand standards

The base pay range for this role is $100,00 - $150,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
