Description
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administration of safety polices, procedures, and programs related to environmental, health, and safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, enforces, and coordinates safety and security policies and programs in collaboration with management to align with organizational goals and uphold a safe working environment.
Ensures compliance with related safety training to protect the employee wellbeing including applicable occupational safety and environment regulations. Oversee compliance with annual training, first aid training, power industrial truck certifications.
Ensures completeness of OSHA logs, EHS records, and reporting for internal and external use.
Investigate all safety incidents to include thorough and effective root cause analysis, providing recommendations for solutions and prevention of future incidents.
Conducts frequent housekeeping and safety walks to ensure ongoing compliance and a safe working environment.
Facilitates the safety team meetings and follows up with any corrective action needed.
Oversees any workers'compensation claims including claim submission, correspondence, return to work process.
Obtains appropriate permits and inspections with regards to environmental issues, waste disposal, and government reporting and permitting.
Proceeds with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity to Ace Precision Quality System Work Instruction requirements that govern engineering operations.
Maintains or exceeds organizational standard through organization and planning.
Follows and complies with safety rules, regulations and procedures.
Accurately completes all required documentation.
Meets attendance policy requirements.
Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety or equivalent education and experience. 2 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization and maintain positive employee/employer relations. Ability to respond to technical inquiries, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Excellent writing and communication skills with a strong knowledge of Excel and MS Word. All communication must be handled with professional expertise, complete and thorough detail, documentation, and follow-through. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts of algebra, geometry, statistics and advanced shop mathematics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Requires considerable initiative and decision-making judgment. Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with all levels of employees. Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and assess priorities to meet deadlines, recognize workflow, and carefully plan short and long term projects. Results oriented, energetic; a self-starter that is a team player with the ability to think conceptually, flexibly and strategically.
