Accessible Resource Center Lead-Professional Expert Salary: $33,280.00 - $135,200.00 Annually Job Type: Professional Expert Job Number: 25-066 Closing: Continuous Location: Imperial, CA Division: Academic Services Representative Duties Basic Function: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Professional Expert will design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive Accessibility Resource Center to support faculty, staff, and students in creating and managing accessible digital content across the college. The role will focus on ensuring that documents, websites, multimedia, and online course materials meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508, ADA). This position will be responsible for curating and updating resources, developing best practice guidelines, conducting accessibility audits, creating training materials, and offering expert consultation to ensure equal access to digital materials for all members of the college community. The Professional Expert will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility strategies into the college's digital platforms and broader institutional goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Distinguishing Characteristics: This position is distinguished from other roles by its exclusive focus on accessibility compliance and resource development for digital content across the institution. The Professional Expert is responsible for creating and curating an Accessibility Resource Center and guiding faculty and staff in the implementation of best practices for accessible documents and web content. The Professional Expert's role requires expertise in accessibility standards and technologies, along with the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure that accessibility is prioritized in the development and maintenance of digital content.
