Medicaid Eligibility Manager - remote

This role will lead employees who are working on-site at client locations throughout the USA and remote WFH associates. This position is WFH and requires some travel to be on site with clients and associates, especially during periods of new hire onboarding and new client integration. The position will be responsible for the team's performance with quality, productivity, screening, and approvals and any other critical metrics per contract with clients. This leader will manage teams that connect uninsured patients with programs that cover their medical expenses, acting as a liaison among patients, hospitals, and government agencies to ensure eligibility for Medicaid, social security, county indigent, or other types of healthcare funding.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a team of internal and remote employees and provide mentorship to meet quality and production levels.
• Create and sustain process, standards, and documentation by client.
• Evaluates and reports project status, schedules, issues, resolutions, and completions.
• Guide underperforming team members without impacting quality of work.
• Provide regular status updates for senior management on performance metrics and status.
• Raise appropriately issues that require leadership awareness or input.
• Collaborate regularly with the Director on key performance measures set by the client.
• Maintain structured contact with applicants and government agencies.
• Work in partnership with hospitals and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to confidentiality, EMTALA, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working with Medicaid, state, and federal programs.
• Previous experience leading and developing teams to meet business deliverables.
• Prior hospital experience to navigate relationships with administration staff.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• ravel is required to meet with clients and teams across the US.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to new tools, workflows, or updates to government programs.
• Strong administrative and customer service skills
• Project management skills a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60,00.00 - $75,000.00, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
