Job Description

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Manager and the Production Manager at the New Albany facility.

Duties consist of performing a variety of activities, including, but not limited to, tracking temporary staff, assisting onboarding of new hires, scheduling of plant hourly employees to achieve efficiencies.

Developing presentations, creating purchase requisitions in SAP software, drafting and managing confidential documents, updating and maintaining sensitive legal documents, co-leading and planning group activities, conferences, travel, meetings, participating in cross-functional Administrative Assistant committee meetings, managing electronic vacation database, preparing expense reports, managing new vendor request forms, and managing calendars.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Abides by all Amcor's Company policies and procedures
  • Facilitate questions and concerns from associates and visitors escalating to appropriate department personnel as needed
  • Support system/site security access for plant
  • Coordinate vendor relationships with staffing agencies in partnership with HR and procurement
  • Reviewing invoices and completing validation checks.
  • Drafting and maintaining confidential documents and records for HR, Safety, and Production
  • Co-leading and planning group activities
  • Conduct orientations and assist in the onboarding of new hires for the Plant
  • Adjust daily manning for each shift per production schedule
  • Adjust production manning with LOAs, Terminations, New Hires, Vacations and Floating Holidays
  • Support production training scheduling/planning
  • Creating daily SAP/Excel reporting for production team
  • Organizes and maintains files and records
  • Prioritize multiple tasks/projects effectively to meet business needs.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Two or more years administrative experience, in HR preferred
  • Production scheduling experience preferred
  • Strong computer and organization skills
  • Strong inter-personal relationship skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proactive and Can-do attitude
  • Commitment to meeting goals and objectives
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic multi-tasking work environment
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and co-workers
  • Must be organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Education: Minimum High School diploma
