Create reports, scorecards, dashboards, and other visualizations to drive improved performance within the functions. Serves up reporting for consumption across the organization in a way that informs and drives the organization to actionable insights.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data Exploration and Analysis: Independently explore, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets from various sources to identify key trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Visualization Design and Development: Design and develop sophisticated and impactful story telling data visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards, interactive reports) using industry-leading tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).

  • Data Storytelling: Craft compelling data-driven stories through visualizations, combining visual elements with clear and concise narratives to communicate key findings, recommendations, and business implications.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with stakeholders across different departments (e.g., Product, Marketing) to understand their data needs, translate them into visualization requirements, and present findings effectively.

  • Dashboard Development and Maintenance: Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and enable self-service data exploration for stakeholders.

  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used in visualizations. Implement data validation processes as needed.

  • Best Practices and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest data visualization techniques, tools, and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing visualizations and introduce innovative approaches.

  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts on data visualization principles and techniques (if applicable).

  • Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for data sources, methodologies, and visualization designs.

  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement methods to monitor the effectiveness and user adoption of data visualizations.

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or Business Analytics.

  • Optional Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or Business Analytics.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the business intelligence space

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools: Expert-level proficiency in at least one of the leading data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Thoughspot etc). Experience with multiple tools is highly desirable.

  • Data manipulation and querying: Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Experience with other data manipulation languages (e.g., Python with Pandas) is a plus.

  • Statistical knowledge: Solid understanding of basic statistical concepts and their application in data visualization (desirable).

  • Programming skills (desirable): Familiarity with programming languages such as Python (with libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Dash) or R for advanced visualization and analysis.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete simultaneous requests of differing sizes.

  • Ability to train both internal and external customers.

  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint and or google products

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms

  • Expert understanding of data structures

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.

  • Performing repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers, such as typing, picking, and pinching, within your regular work environment.

  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Near-range visual acuity for detailed tasks and ability to perform activities with precision such as analyzing data, viewing computer screens or reading extensively.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.

Annual Earning Potential: $69,7000 - $90,6000/ year .
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
