Interim Director of Treasury

Vaco is helping one of our clients find an interim Director of Treasury for an immediate starting date (early June). This role is 100% remote and we are looking for a Director of Treasury level consultant OR a director level Treasury professional that is immediately available and willing to commit to a consulting assignment.

The targeted salary is $100/hour; however our client is willing to explore options above or below this range ($90-$125 per hour). Also, while this is an interim role, there could be the possibility of contract to hire for the ideal candidate.

Below is a representative job description for the Director of Treasury with additional specifics to be provided to selected qualified candidates:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity planning, and financial risk mitigation.
  • Partner with senior finance leaders to develop and implement treasury strategies that support business growth and financial stability.
  • Oversee debt and capital market transactions, and support funding strategies.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, including commercial banking partners and credit rating agencies, ensuring access to competitive financial products and services.
  • Ensure seamless cash management and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align treasury goals with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee daily cash management operations, ensuring optimal utilization of cash resources.
  • Develop and maintain accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Negotiate credit facilities and support debt issuance activities.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to assess capital structure, financing needs, and potential investment opportunities.
  • Drive automation and optimization of treasury processes and systems for efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend best practices in treasury operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CTP designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of treasury experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Recent Treasury specific experience in a publicly traded or large PE owned company.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, capital markets, and credit rating processes.
  • Proven experience managing debt facilities, overseeing capital market and debt transactions, and risk management strategies.
  • Building/Construction or Architect/Engineering Industry or related experience is a plus. Our clients cash flows are project oriented so this experience would be directly relatable.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
