The Medical Laboratory Scientist Supervisor (MLS Supervisor) functions as a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for leading a laboratory department. With direct oversight of staff who perform clinical laboratory testing specific to that laboratory department.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or Physical Science

OR

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with >2 years of experience in a high complexity clinical laboratory.
• ASCP or equivalent
  • Certification must be maintained without lapse during employment.
  • If certification does lapse, job will be downgraded to Medical Laboratory Scientist (non-certified) or Medical Laboratory Technician (non-certified) until certification is reinstated

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in microbiology
• Previous experience in a leadership role, billing compliance, performance improvement, and regulatory standards
