Coborn's, Inc. also owns and operates liquor stores under the Coborn's Liquor, Cash Wise Liquor, Andy's Liquor and Captain Jack's brands. Additionally, our fuel and convenience division, pharmacy, in-house grocery warehouse and distribution center, in-house Central Bakery, in-house Fresh Foods Commissary, and Tops Cleaners are significant assets to our operations. We also have a handful of other retail entities in the markets where the fit is right: Little Dukes, Ace Hardware, Country Floral Gifts & Greenhouse, Caribou Coffee, Dunn Bros Coffee, and Erbert and Gerbert's.


Overview

Coborn's Inc. is searching for a strategic, results-driven Director of Produce and Floral to lead our produce and floral categories into its next phase of growth. You'll take charge of sourcing, pricing, merchandising, and quality control - all while cultivating relationships with growers, partners, and internal teams such as marketing and operations!

Requirements

Additional Duties Include:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for both produce and floral categories to maximize sales, margins, and guest satisfaction.
  • Leverage product/consumer trends, guest insights, and performance data to optimize category offerings, introduce innovation, and effectively develop go-forward business strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of seasonal and promotional merchandising programs for produce and floral.
  • Oversee vendor selection, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure freshness, quality, and product availability. Maintain strong relationships and negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply chain logistics.
  • Provide leadership and support to produce and floral managers, foster training and development across all locations, and ensure departmental compliance with food safety, product handling, and industry regulations.
  • Draw insight from internal and external resources to generate new ideas and opportunities for merchandising, as well as other areas of the organization.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and cooperation across the organization to support merchandising decisions, directives, and initiatives, this includes collaborating with marketing and visual merchandising teams to enhance in-store displays and guest engagement.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, cooperation, and personal growth for all members of the merchandising team. Engages employees, and builds team spirit and morale through recognition, development, accountability, coaching for talent development, and urgency. Lead efforts of continuously reviewing team effectiveness through a partnership with human resources on hiring activities, benefit and compensation offerings, promotions, performance success plans, and termination decisions.
