Job Title: Project Engineer - Construction Services SOC code 17-2051.00 Workplace: 2860 Fisher Road, Columbus OH 43205 Contacts first and last name: Steve Mikloucich Address: 2860 Fisher Road, Columbus OH 43205 Phone: (614) 276-8123 Email: smikloucich@ctleng.com Job duties: Project Engineer - Construction Services Works under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional Engineer; performs construction administration and inspection services for state, county, and local clients, managing roadway/bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects; writes proposals; monitors and enforces standards and specifications; reads blueprints and works on a variety of projects; inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals and bridge projects; verifies plan quantities and calculations with bid plans; prepares and maintains project records and reports; notifies the Contractor or Project Manager with status updates or about non-confirming projects; designs sustainable hot mix asphalt mixtures; inspects pavement field tests; writes proposals. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field. Must have two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Project Engineer. Two (2) years of experience (inclusive of experience required heretofore) must have included the following: 1) Plan and inspect construction sites; 2) Monitor and enforce construction standards; and 3) Prepare daily project/budget reports.
