Description Role Overview: As a Junior Estimator you will be responsible for reviewing plans and specification to determine labor, equipment, and materials requirements, perform quality take offs, estimating all aspects of project costs, reviewing and analyzing subcontractor quotes, and visiting sites to determine scope of work. Compensation: $26 - $32 per hour, Year-Round, Full Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Heath Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts 401K with Company Match Profit Sharing Paid/Sick Time Off 8 Paid Holidays Short-term Disability & Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Years of Service Recognition Minimum Qualifications: A successful Junior Estimator for Knife River will have: * 2-year Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent education/construction experience. Or * 2 Years+ estimating experience in the road construction industry, preferably Asphalt Paving and/or Grading. * Experience utilizing estimating software. HCSS Heavybid preferred but not required. * Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and with others.
