Position Summary The Network/Cloud Architect will provide oversight into technology integrations and will help to maintain network and security standards at the Bank. This role will be responsible for the safety and soundness of new and existing technical network platforms and will be expected to represent complex network architectures with a focus on network performance, security, scalability, resiliency, and automation. The Network/Cloud Architect will provide architectural support for on-premises solutions and provide direction and support for the transition to cloud-based platforms. Primary Success Factors
Lead key program initiatives as identified in the Bank's Network Strategy to further the Bank's program maturity and advance network protections and capabilities Lead and manage project team(s) in designing network solutions and translating network requirements into plans for both IT and business units, with a focus on network security Participate in the leadership group for the Bank's Architecture review committee and provide network reviews of technology environments and network standards delivery Lead the integration of new and existing technical components safely and soundly into the Bank's operating environment for on-premises solutions as well as cloud integrations Drive changes in the current network operating environment that lead to operational efficiencies and improvements across multiple business units and technologies Lead engagements with business units to define and integrate business requirements into the technology architecture landscape Drive implementation of network standards and practices to support a strong security posture Lead the design of network orchestration to automate key processes Lead and manage the network program's SAFE agile planning activities Support teams in successfully delivering projects through established project management / SAFE agile processes Identify process and operational improvements to extract further value from existing network security investments and to meet dynamic compliance and regulatory needs Serve on the Bank's Enterprise Architecture Group to advise on information protection and network principles Demonstrate knowledge and delivery emerging market network solutions and technologies trends and to advance the Bank's network technology program Responsible for the architecture, resiliency of the Bank's network, and leading the support effort of the Bank's network modernization and continued transformation to the cloud Drives the effective delivery of the business continuity process (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) processes across the Bank's network components Lead the design and implementation of advanced network architectures to support cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and security for the Bank's digital transformation initiatives
Required Experience
A minimum of 10 years of broad level experience in architecting, designing, maintaining, and managing enterprise across a variety of technical and business disciplines Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; industry certification from relevant industry Network manufacturers (Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto) Expertise in the demonstration of a strong working knowledge of network best practices, technology control frameworks and standards Strong experience in the knowledge of control activities in the areas of IT Risks, change management, computer operations, information security administration, and network administration Expertise in the setup and delivery of network protocols, cryptography, and network security practices Demonstrated knowledge of current tools/practices for developing and publishing policies, procedures, metrics and other information Strong experience and working knowledge in network design in cloud platforms and on-premises Expert technical acumen in the areas of network security, network architecture, design and implementation Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, coordinate work assignments with management throughout the organization and reliably meet commitments Strong aptitude for technology and an ability to learn quickly
