SUMMARY

The Office Support Person is responsible for performing standard clerical and typing duties as directed by the workload of the Early Intervention Office. The variety of responsibilities may include mail handling, telephone coverage, filing, data entry and document processing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and transfer phone calls, as the first contact within the Early Intervention Service Coordination Office. It is imperative that consumer and families concerns are handled promptly and appropriately for timely management of requests and needs.
  • All correspondence needs prompt attention and must be sorted, copied and distributed to the appropriate party in a timely manner.
  • The Office Support Staff have a role in the maintenance of all paper documents, managing archival storage, and assisting in keeping the Consumer hard copy record complete and intact both for current and future references.
  • Information management is imperative in the day-to-day running of Early Intervention Office.. Office Support Staff are crucial in the management of all the information relating to, consumer information, intake follow through, and service compliance.
  • Data Management by entering data in Pelican, and County operated database.
  • Order supplies as necessary to support optimal production and success within the office.
  • Promote teamwork by working with others to exchange information, accomplish tasks and contribute to the team spirit and morale of the office.
  • Other duties as delegated.

MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • High School Degree preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer.
  • Ability to follow County policies and procedures.
  • Ability to respect confidentiality and HIPPA requirements.
  • Ability to ensure familiarity and compliance with relevant federal, state, and county regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Reliable means of transportation to get to work.
  • This position is subject to mandates requiring Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI Clearances for employment.
