Job Summary

This position involves analyzing and interpreting data from manufacturing documents, procedures, equipment logs, and DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance for reporting and decision-making. The analyst must be able to understand complex documentation and DMSMS alerts, identify key data elements, and translate them into actionable insights to support lifecycle sustainment and risk mitigation strategies. While initial tasks follow established processes and be performed under close supervision, the role evolves to require independent judgment in assessing data quality, identifying trends or anomalies-particularly in supply chain and obsolescence risk. The successful candidate will collaborate with Data Manager and logistics teams to resolve data inconsistencies. Over time, this position demands increased autonomy and the ability to work with diverse data sources, using analytical tools and critical thinking to support operational and strategic objectives related to system readiness and sustainment.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Review manufacture documents and exact proper data.
  • Identify data set problems and resolve issues based on applicable policies and procedures
  • Respond to inquiries submitted data managers.
  • Maintain and update records and the GIDEP tracking database.
  • Access Government sites to obtain manufacturing documents in order to extract the needed data

Additionally, the candidate must have the following skillsets:

  • Ability to research and process information, assemble data through interrogation/navigation of internet based information systems using various search engines
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing and work with others as a team member
  • Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in an environment that requires teamwork, efficiency, cross-training
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work at a fast pace

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years' experience in Microsoft Suite of applications to include Excel and Word
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge Adobe Acrobat
  • Basic computers skills
  • US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance OR the ability to reactivate a DoD Clearance held within the last 24 months OR current Interim Clearance
  • If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS), Engineering, metrology, product information, and reliability & maintainability (R&M) information
  • Read blueprints
  • Understand Cage codes and National Stock Numbers
