The Business Development Manager's main responsibility will be to lead the process of identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities in the aerospace industries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Utilize available United States Government and industry databases to research, identify, analyze, and prioritize potential opportunities for heat exchangers and aircraft components.
  • Establish sales strategies and support tools required to deliver against current business and target new business opportunities.
  • Track and report weekly progress in pursuit of all new business including a monthly summary of contacts and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance by program managing new business won, communicating with customers and ensuring guidelines and commitments are met.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process to achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly goals.


QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education)

  • Proven performance within the aerospace industry.
  • Potential for advancement within the corporate organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Strong business development, marketing, sales, program management and account management skills.
  • Negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Technical knowledge of aerospace components
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/ leadership/ management skills - positive, proactive and professional.
  • Prior US Military Experience (Aircraft Crew Chief, Air Maintenance Officer, Logistics, Procurement) highly desirable.
  • BS in Engineering or technical field. Related experience in the military would be considered as an alternative.
  • MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of successful and progressive sales performance and/or program management in the aerospace industry (exhaust systems, heat exchangers would be a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience working with government contracts and solicitations.
  • Military (US and Foreign) contacts would be an advantage.
  • Travel expected to be minimum of 25% of the time worked.
