Job Description:
Serves as a liaison between Admissions and Athletics Departments to attract, enroll and retain a significant portion of the student body. Comprehends and supports institutional enrollment objectives while also understanding the needs of our coaches and student athletes. Collaborates with admission colleagues, and develops deeper relationships with constituency groups to ensure the seamless transition of a recruit to enrolling student-athlete. Solves problems independently and works in close collaboration with faculty and staff across the university to meet enrollment goals.
- Corresponds with coaches, prospective recruits, applicants, accepted students and parents throughout the recruitment/enrollment cycle. Correspondence takes place via phone, email, text and in-person. Due to the nature of coach and student schedules, a significant amount of correspondence takes places in the evenings and weekends.
- Meets frequently with identified athletic recruits and their families to assist in enrollment. Provides early scholarship and financial aid estimates to remain competitive in the recruitment process.
- Participates in athletics and admissions activities, events and programs, as required. Leads and contributes to requested athletic camps, game day recruitment events, panels, presentations, case studies, workshops, and other programming which often take place on weekends and evenings.
- Meets regularly with coaches among 18 sports to understand the evolving needs and goals of their programs. Develops a communication system whereby coaches are informed of enrollment objectives and admissions staff are informed of athletic needs.
- Meets regularly with the dean of admissions and financial aid colleagues to discuss individual admission and financial aid cases. Alignment throughout the enrollment cycle is critical to ensure student athlete enrollment goals are being achieved.
- Reviews all priority student athlete applications to determine admission and presents applicant files to the admissions committee. Effective communication with coaches during this time is crucial.
- Serves on the transfer admission team and works closely with recruited transfer athletes.
- Co-leads the Admissions and Early Financial Aid Estimate review process for top recruited athletes with the dean of admissions
- Counsels and collaborates with other admission colleagues to assist in the recruitment of student athletes. Maintains strong communication with territory managers as recruits from their assigned territories transition through admissions process.
- Infrequent travel to specific target recruitment markets for athletic/admission recruitment programming or professional development.
- Monitors admission funnel for each sport to anticipate feasibility of meeting enrollment objectives. Works closely with coaches throughout the enrollment cycle to ensure each sport has a requisite number of applications and admitted recruits to fulfill target enrollment goals.
- Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during periods of intensity.

Extensive prior knowledge or experience within college admissions and athletics. Ability to quickly learn the university, as well as admissions and financial aid procedures and policies, and accurately present information to prospective students, parents, and high school counselors. Thorough understanding of college athletic recruitment and the ability to work effectively with coaches is of critical importance. Ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuasively communicate the value of Trinity's education to various constituencies. Ability to effectively recruit a wide range of high caliber student athletes. Strong technical skills and the ability to learn Slate and Workday. Initiative, creativity, and strong organizational and supervisory skills to develop programs and promote Trinity to various constituencies. Ability to write well and speak effectively to individuals and large groups of prospective students and their parents, high school counselors, alumni, current Trinity students and their parents, as well as Trinity administrators and faculty. Possess and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Flexibility and composure when work becomes extremely busy. Ability to create a positive and healthy team dynamic by being a trusted and respected colleague.
