Job Title: Scheduler

Location: Atlanta, GA (Relocation assistance available)

Salary: $140,000

Job Description:

Our client, a leading company in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking a Scheduler to support the planning and execution of capital projects in the Atlanta area. This position plays a key role in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules using Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure or utility projects and a strong understanding of schedule logic, resource planning, and risk identification.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop and maintain summary-level and detailed project schedules in Primavera P6.



  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align schedules with project scope and execution plans.



  • Identify key milestones, critical path activities, and scheduling constraints.



  • Evaluate actual project progress through site inspections and reporting inputs.



  • Update schedules regularly and perform variance analysis to assess schedule impacts.



  • Generate schedule-related reports, including look-aheads, histograms, and cash flow projections.



  • Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans when schedule delays occur.



  • Review contractor and vendor schedules for accuracy and alignment with project goals.



  • Prepare as-built schedules and contribute to post-project evaluations.



Requirements:




  • At least 5 years of scheduling experience on capital projects within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.



  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.



  • Strong knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, resource loading, and schedule performance analysis.



  • Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.



  • Must be able to work onsite in Atlanta; relocation support is available.
