Position Overview: As a Data Center Technician, you will support senior technicians and team leads in the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems. This includes pulling and terminating various types of cable, installing infrastructure components, and assisting with electronic security systems.
Key Responsibilities: * Install and terminate IT cabling, including Cat5, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic cables * Assist with grounding of server racks and equipment (Cisco-heavy environment) * Perform fire-stopping procedures and install sleeves in firewall penetrations * Terminate low-voltage devices such as cameras, servers, and switches * Follow detailed blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations * Install cable trays, pathways, and build out server racks * Complete all required documentation accurately and on time (e.g., timesheets, work orders, material transfers) * Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards * Support additional tasks as assigned by supervisors Qualifications: * Strong work ethic and punctuality * Willingness to work with your hands and learn new skills * Familiarity with basic hand and power tools * Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team * Flexible with work hours and schedules * Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments Work Environment: * Large-scale data center under active construction * Physically demanding role requiring lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods * Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE): steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety vest, gloves, and eye protection *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
