HX5 is currently seeking a qualified IT Network Administration Senior in support of the Live Mission Operation Capability (LMOC) program at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with Information Technology systems, as well as the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software.
  • Provide help desk management functions, to include serving as a customer support specialist for technology networks, computer capabilities, managing IT trouble tickets, and assisting with customer access to Continuous Acquisition and Life-Cycle Support applications and other future spiral developments or custom standardized Government software applications.
  • Develop and produce documentation and artifacts required to certify unclassified and classified network systems; maintain, manage, and assist with development of documentation required for Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification
  • Review proposed new computer systems, networks, and commercial software designs for potential security risks, as well as user interface
  • Resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure and monitoring new or emerging technologies and software to assist in the identification of the most effective approach or methodology to be applied to the Division computer systems and network
  • Develop, recommend, and install solutions and upgrades to ensure availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of all components of computers and network
  • Advise government decision makers on computer systems' security shortfalls and areas needing improvement or modification
  • Perform vulnerability scans, analysis of, and manage mitigations of identified findings
  • Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot cybersecurity applications and other tools
  • Participate in US Government auditing efforts including answering inquiries and providing documentation evidence
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts
  • Assist the designated Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF); risk analysis and mitigation
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with MS Office products, specifically, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of eMASS, ITIPS, and other DoD/AF tools
  • Knowledge of enterprise anti-malware tools such as HBSS or DS, DS being a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and standard database concepts
  • Knowledge of basic programming techniques and languages, with Java and PowerShell being a plus; knowledge of cloud computing environment, with AWS GovCloud being a plus
  • Knowledge of Linux system

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Information Systems Technology and twelve (12) years of experience with proper certifications
  • This degree requirement may be substituted with commensurate Computer Science degree, or five (5) years documented DoD IT systems experience, with approval.
  • OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, to include Security+ or equivalent

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
