ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS We are recruiting for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Security Operations Center, managing incident response, threat detection, and continuous monitoring. You will be responsible for protecting patient data, intellectual property, and ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, ISO 1Se3485, ISO 27001, & NIST). OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE Lead and manage the Security Operations Center team, including analysts and engineers. Design, implement, and continuously improve SOC processes, procedures, and technologies. Monitor and analyze security events to detect, triage, and respond to threats and vulnerabilities. Coordinate incident response and forensics investigations, including post-mortem reviews and reporting. Maintain and optimize SIEM, SOAR, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and other monitoring tools. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA cybersecurity guidance, NIST CSF). Collaborate with product security, IS, Quality, compliance, and regulatory teams to align security operations with business and industry requirements. Produce and present operational metrics and threat intelligence reports to senior leadership. Conduct threat hunting and contribute to proactive security assessments. Drive continuous SOC maturity through training, tool integration, and automation. WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM Required: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field 7+ years in cybersecurity roles with at least 3 years in a SOC leadership or management capacity Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar), endpoint detection tools, and network security technologies Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, incident response lifecycle, and threat intelligence frameworks Demonstrated experience interfacing with technical teams and executive leadership. Preferred: Master degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or regulated industries Familiarity with FDA cybersecurity guidelines, HIPAA, and ISO 27001/13485 compliance requirements CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, or similar The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
