Hourly Pay Range: $22.33 - $33.51

Job Summary: The Trades Park Maintenance Worker is responsible for the Parks Maintenance utility shop and trades support. This position assists in many facets pertaining to everyday operations for all the skilled trades departments.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide Assistance to Skilled Trades - Assist all skilled trades work including but not limited to graffiti removal, masonry repairs, and construction.
  • General Maintenance and Housekeeping - Clean and maintain Parks grounds and facilities including but not limited to general housekeeping, mowing, trimming, plowing, salting, cleaning catch basins, and cold patching.
  • Golf Course, Athletic Field, and Sport Court Maintenance - Assist skilled trades in the operation, repair, and winterizations.
  • Building and Infrastructure Maintenance - Maintain buildings and facilities of trades worksites such as pavilions, shelters, service yards, clubhouses, and pool buildings. Perform the general cleaning of construction and remodeling sites. Assist various skilled trades with repairs.
  • Small Equipment Operation - Operate a wide variety of small equipment including but not limited to trenchers, skid steer loaders, augers, cement mixing equipment, trailers, and forklifts.
  • Special Assignments and Projects - Participate on special project teams related to skilled trades support.
  • Operation Safety: Able to properly and safely operate vehicles, heavy machinery, hand tools, power tools, and general office equipment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Current residency within the State of Wisconsin.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License, able to be maintained throughout incumbency.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of work experience in Maintenance or related fields.
  • The ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.


Required Licenses and Certifications:



  • Possession of a valid "Class A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or able to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • First Aid certification or able be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • CPR certification or able to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Forklift certification required or able to be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
