This organization is growing quickly and there's a future M&A push within the organization. Currently they have 10 locations across 6 states, with $7 billion in total assets and $60 million in gross revenue.

Our Role:

Working together with the CFO, the Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for statements that follow regulatory and accounting guidelines. This person is responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and assisting in setting up control systems. This person will be working on autonomous tasks and goals that are collaborative in nature. This person will be contributing to the improvement of accounting/finance processes and ensuring high accuracy with their great eye for details.

Your Duties:



  • Ensure the general ledger remains accurate and reliable through careful oversight.
  • Compile and analyze financial statements and reports, guaranteeing they are prepared in a timely manner and align with GAAP standards.
  • Strengthen and refine internal control systems and contribute to their ongoing development.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process for financial statements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns across multiple states and at the federal level.
  • Review and manage the issuance of partner K-1 forms.
  • Handle all aspects of tax accounting, including the calculation and management of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team by offering feedback, direction, and professional development support.
  • Approve journal entries and review the work completed by accounting personnel.
  • Assess and recommend new technologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
  • Support the CFO with special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.



Your Background:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or active CPA license required.
  • At least five years of professional experience in the field.
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Proficient in conducting technical research related to accounting and tax matters.
  • Skilled at managing multiple assignments while meeting daily responsibilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Committed to high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Capable of working autonomously with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Effective time manager with the ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Takes initiative and operates with urgency and intentionality.
  • Displays a proactive, energetic, and optimistic attitude.
  • Independent, goal-driven professional with a collaborative mindset.
  • Trustworthy and respectful of confidential information.
  • Strong team player who works well with colleagues to reach common goals.
  • Open to learning, personal development, and tackling new challenges.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus, but not required; experience with any ERP system should translate well to this position.
