Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Architecture and Interface Senior System Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Duties:

    Support the MDA Chief Architect by deriving information exchange requirements for future architectures and monitoring the implementation of future and current interface requirements throughout their life cycle.
  • Familiarity with DoD Standard interfaces such as Mil-Std-6016, Mil-Std-6040, Mil-Std-3011 and their development, maintenance, and management processes.
  • The ability to analyze interoperability issues and collaboratively develop solutions for implementation into the Missile Defense System and its elements.
  • Represent the Chief Architects interests during interface Configuration Control Board meetings.
  • Manage an eXtensible Markup Language (XML) interface used to exchange Missile Defense Planning information between Missile Defense System Elements and Missile Defense System to external command and control systems.
  • Participate in implementation workshops in order to assist in the derivation of future interface requirements.
  • Assist the Chairman of the Configuration Control Board for the interface in maintaining configuration control of the interface.
  • Assist the Secretariat of the Missile Defense Agency Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) Working Group by participating in or ensuring participation by other team members in monthly CJADC2 Combined Functional Team meetings.
  • Prepare position statements pertaining to Missile Defense Agency position for the Chief Architect to present to the CFT.
  • Contribute to, review, and comment on CFT Sub Working Groups and Operational Planning Team products when required.
  • Use Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools, languages, frameworks, and processes to review and assess architectural packages from the CJADC2 CFT and other DoD agencies and services.
  • Develop and/or support Missile Defense Agency internal architectural development efforts to ensure command and control aspects are considered.
  • Collaboratively develop operational and system architecture views with external agencies such as Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Office (JIAMDO).


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess an ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development and required engineering documentation in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to follow established procedures, and solve routine problems
  • Excellent listening ability with a corresponding skill to capture details of policy and technical discussions
  • Capability to use the Microsoft Office package to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Travel: Work may require travel 10% of the time to various locations to include sites within the CONUS or OCONUS.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years applicable experience

Desired Skills:

  • BS degree in Engineering / System Engineering a plus
  • Joint Interoperability Control Officer Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the design, development, testing, production, or use of missile defense command and control / weapon systems (THAAD and / or Patriot) experience a plus.
  • The ability to manipulate XML schemas using appropriate schema manipulation tools (i.e. Altova XML spy) a plus.
  • Familiarity with Cameo, System Modeling Language, Department of Defense Architecture Framework, Universal Architecture Framework a plus.
