Summary:
Scotty's Contracting and Stone is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Oiler-Greaser to support equipment operations across construction crews. This position is responsible for the daily lubrication, fueling, and inspection of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Duties may also include assisting with minor mechanical repairs, steam cleaning, tire maintenance, and basic labor tasks as assigned. The Oiler-Greaser will work under the direction of the Shop manager and must be able to complete routine responsibilities with minimal supervision, while ensuring all equipment is maintained to company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel all heavy equipment on assigned projects
- Service and lube all equipment as necessary.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of fuel dispensed.
- Work with shop managers and foremen.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- preventative maintenance services on various types of Heavy Equipment
- Perform duties in an expedient and professional manner and maintain open communication with the shop and field.
- Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.
Qualifications:
- Must have Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements.
- Knowledge of truck and equipment maintenance.
- Hands on experience in truck and equipment maintenance preferred.
- Must have valid Driver's License and ability to pass MVR Check
- Ability to read and understand service manuals.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb into and out of equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily.
- Heights: Ability to climb and work safely at heights exceeding 10 feet.
- Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
- Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
- Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
- Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.
- Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Conditions: Work is performed outdoors in a heavy civil construction environment with exposure to uneven, rocky terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
Work Environment:
This position is performed primarily outdoors on active construction sites, often in remote or rugged locations. The Oiler-Greaser will be regularly exposed to dust, fuel fumes, grease, and the noise of heavy machinery.

and
bending
for
extended
periods. - Work occurs on uneven, muddy, or rocky surfaces typical of active job sites.
- Regular interaction with heavy equipment, fuel trucks, and shop tools in high-traffic operational areas.
The selected candidate will be prepared to work in varying weather conditions that may occasionally require physical tasks to be performed in challenging environments. Safety gear, such as gloves, helmets, and protective eyewear, is essential during all operations.
