Position Purpose







This position reviews and processes employee timecards utilizing an automated time and attendance system, assists in the processing of payroll runs while ensuring accuracy; print and distribute paychecks to departments; answers payroll-related inquiries; assists in verifying payroll reports; and maintains employee payroll files. This position is also responsible for assisting the Payroll Analysts with the more complicated payroll processes such as garnishments, payroll calculations, Time and Attendance issues, completion of biweekly payroll processes and federal payroll tax deposits and reporting.









Nature and Scope







This position works with highly confidential information. A very high degree of accuracy is required. The major challenges to this position are meeting payroll deadlines while handling a large volume of incoming calls and e-mails, keeping abreast of the policies and procedures on hours worked, overtime, call time, etc., as they apply to employee time.

This position is responsible completion of employee changes as it relates to payroll such as tax changes, direct deposit changes, and general deductions through data entry or review and approval changes submitted through employee self-service. This position is allowed to make corrections regarding errors on time reports and process employee changes authorized by Human Resources and run reports to retrieve history on an employee's wages when needed to research various requests or to verify accurate information is being processed.

This position is responsible for processing all terminations on a daily basis. This requires a high-level knowledge of Renown policies and bargaining unit agreements.

The position will have the responsibility of making sure all semiweekly federal tax deposits are made according to taxing authority guidelines.

This position will have high visibility with employees, management, and external customers and will require a high degree of customer service and strong research and analytical skills.

Ability to multi-task and react quickly to changes in priorities as situations dictate.

A high degree of self-motivation is required, as well as good communication skills.

This position does not provide patient care.

Description



Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Requires a bachelor's degree in business. Proven experience in a similar role may be substituted for degree.



Experience:



Knowledge of bookkeeping principles. At least two (2) years payroll experience in an automated environment. Experience with the KRONOS Timekeeping system is preferred.

Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
