We have an opportunity for a Category Quality Leader to join our Apex, NC team. You will spearhead the quality strategy and performance initiatives for the Category. This role will partner closely across multiple functions to drive continuous improvement, manage product quality risks, and support the delivery of high-performing, safe, and compliant pool products. The leader will drive category-wide alignment on quality goals, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is crucial in protecting brand integrity, fostering customer obsession, and ensuring satisfaction across the category.

You will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions with the support of cross-functional teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance product quality.
  • Drive customer focus by ensuring the voice of the customer is represented and actions are taken to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate an environment that champions relentless improvement and unwavering commitment to quality excellence.
  • Support in setting quality, reliability, and product life expectancy requirements for new and existing products
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing to ensure our products set the industry standard for quality and reliability.
  • Lead category-level quality reviews and present findings, risks, and progress to executive leadership.
  • Lead Quality Improvement Teams (QIT) processes, project prioritization, and ensure end-to-end quality for the category.
  • Collaborate with the tech service team, sales team, and customers to foster open dialogue, identify challenges, and work with cross-functional teams to drive thoughtful solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes, influencing stakeholders across product management, engineering, marketing, sales, supply, and operations to achieve aligned goals.
  • Conduct field visits to customers to evaluate product performance and collect valuable feedback that informs future enhancements and improves the overall customer experience.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or Quality Management, or 7 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools and methods, including statistics, with the ability to select and apply them for data-driven decisions to maintain high levels of product quality.
  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, delegation, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven experience in managing projects with cross-functional teams and driving them to successful completion.
  • Skilled in fostering collaboration and guiding cross-functional teams through strategic direction and influence.
  • Effective change management skills, including influencing, communication, change management, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to listen and understand customer expectations and requirements, anticipate needs, and deliver results with a high sense of urgency.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, including part and product validation.
  • Experience with pool equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and water chemistry is a plus.
  • IoT experience is a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95500 - $177300 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
