We have an opportunity for a TM1 Data Engineer to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our data, analytics, and financial planning platforms, which are crucial for driving insights and strategic decisions across the company. These platforms include IBM TM1/Planning Analytics, On-premises SQL Server Data warehouses, Cloud Azure/Fabric environments, PowerBI, and other related data & analytics systems. This position requires a business-minded, detail-oriented, and analytical thinker with a robust background in financial systems and a keen understanding of the importance of data governance and architecture. The ideal candidate will be skilled at constructing and managing scalable data, financial, and analytics solutions that can evolve with our business and technology landscape.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain TM1/Planning Analytics models to facilitate efficient financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for financial planning and analytics solutions.
  • Implement and manage data integration processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create and optimize complex TM1 rules, processes, and scripts to extract, load, and transform data from various data input sources and output tools.
  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Implement data cleansing, transformation, and validation rules to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and finance teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration across various platforms.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of TM1 models, data integration processes, and financial systems to ensure efficient data processing and system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including data integration failures, data quality problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in financial planning, analytics, and related technologies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in TM1/Planning Analytics development.
  • Proficiency in TM1 rules, processes, and scripting.
  • Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis concepts and experience in designing and implementing financial models.
  • Familiarity with data profiling and quality assurance techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based financial planning services and integration with cloud services.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of TM1 models and data integration processes.
  • Preferred experience using data in a business/finance role for modeling or advanced analytics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to changing business requirements and technology landscapes.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • ERP data analysis experience is a plus.
  • Certifications in IBM TM1/Planning Analytics are a plus.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
