Database Engineer

Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies, LLC seeks a Database Engineer with experience in applying software development methodologies and practices, including traditional structured programming as well as object-oriented programming techniques and broad utilization of current software development tools within numerous environments.

The work pertains primarily to planning, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of complex technical software systems.

This position is on-site at the Naval Research Lab, Washington, DC.

Note: This role is for a proposal so offer will be contingent upon proposal award which is scheduled for approximately Oct 2025

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  Produce technical and user documentation, training and system orientation, and consulting with related development teams throughout the software development life cycle.

  
  
• 
  

  Manage all aspects of software development supporting complex Multi-INT processing from initial planning and design to final installation and maintenance. Furthermore, database engineers must possess the full spectrum of skills required for the development of software systems.

  Manage Enterprise computing and architecture design capability for ground-based analysis systems, to include system information modeling and database design.

  
  
• 
  

  Incorporate system architecture using enterprise design, business process modeling (BPM), workflow implementation, and web-based/semantics-based development methodologies.

  Develop and implement databases to store raw data collection, Multi-INT fusion products necessary to support dissemination to the warfighter.

  
  
• 
  

  Leverage knowledge of terrestrial and space surveillance methodologies, sensor technologies and capabilities, and ability to envision new modes of operation via an evolutionary development process.

  
  
• 
  

  Monitor wage and salary budgets and expense account data to effect control of established budget factors and policy limitations; Ensure that fiscal responsibilities are in compliance with Government and program requirements; Manage the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) integrated project schedule and financial tracking efforts; Maintain the MS ACCESS database to manage and report on financial execution status to sponsors.

  Develop proposals for new and ongoing MDA efforts.

Education and Experience:

  Minimum B.S degree, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.

  Minimum relevant experience of 12 years.

  
  
• 
  

  Or a master's degree + minimum of 10 years relevant experience.

  
  

Travel Requirement:

• 
  

  It is anticipated that Contractor support may require travel both in the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) (~10%).

  
  

Clearance Requirement:

Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
