Capable clinician, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Responsible for providing patient services using medical ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures. Provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process.
Performs appropriate ultrasound and plethysmography procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Must meet the education requirement for diagnostic medical ultrasound or echocardiography ultrasound certification with either CCI or ARDMS; Associate's degree preferred.Experience: Minimum two years clinical experienceLicense/Certification: Credentials from ARDMS or CCI as a Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Specialist required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling; Repetitive motion: Scanning involves holding a transducer in place on the patient's body for periods of time and maintaining the sonographer's body in position, allowing access to anatomy being scanned. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Position Compensation Range: $31.98 - $51.17 HourlyBenefits
