Job Description

What You Will Do:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Owner to join our Ground Tools team. As the bridge between stakeholders and the web development team, you'll be responsible for defining the vision, prioritizing the backlog, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality web software solutions that drive value for our users and align with business goals. You help the manager monitor program status and metrics while assisting the team in effectively planning their sprint work to meet sprint goals and project milestones.

This hybrid on-site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Manager - Ground Software Solutions.

How You Will Do It:



  • Backlog Management: Own and manage the product backlog in Azure DevOps; write clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Product Vision: Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate strategic goals into a clear product roadmap for the web platform.
  • Agile Champion: Act as the voice of the customer during Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives), using Azure DevOps Boards to track and manage progress.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, backend, and QA engineers to deliver features and improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate progress, gather feedback, and ensure stakeholder alignment on priorities and product direction.
  • Release Planning: Define MVPs, manage release cycles, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact features.
  • Data-Informed Decisions: Analyze user behavior, Key Performance Indicators, and other data to guide prioritization and product improvements.
  • Quality Focus: Ensure the team builds high-quality, scalable, and accessible web applications.



What We Look For:
Required



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, I.T., Business, Marketing, Communications or another related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in web-based software development.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience using Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for backlog management, work item tracking, and sprint planning.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, modern front-end frameworks, APIs, and responsive design principles.
  • Ability to balance technical constraints with user and business needs.
  • Experience working with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.



Desired



  • Experience in avionics is a plus.
  • Product Owner certification (CPO, PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
  • Background in software development or UX/UI design is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with A/B testing, analytics tools, or data visualization platforms.
