The Grant Accounting Manager will oversee the post-award financial administration of sponsored projects and manage the financial compliance and fund accounting functions across NYGC. This role will be responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of payroll allocations, revenue drawdowns, indirect cost calculations, sequencing charges, and grant invoicing. The Manager will have supervisory responsibilities, providing day-to-day oversight of assigned staff with effective authority over hiring, training, and performance management. Additionally, the Manager will lead initiatives in system oversight and process improvement, playing a critical role in maintaining and optimizing financial systems and operations. The Manager will focus on executing financial operations, enhancing systems integration, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance to support the organization's research and operational funding sources. This position also supports the Finance and Research Administration team with external compliance and audit requirements including the Single audit, full audit (research activities only), 990 tax reporting (research activities only), and is responsible for the Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA). Salary & Benefits The pay range for this position is $108,000-125,000 per year; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. About the New York Genome Center The New York Genome Center (NYGC) is an independent, nonprofit, academic research organization dedicated to advancing genomic research. NYGC scientists and staff are furthering new approaches to diagnosing and treating neurological diseases and cancer through their unique capabilities in whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, state-of-the art analytics, and the development of genomic tools. NYGC concentrates specifically on disease-based research in the following areas: neuropsychiatric disease (autism, schizophrenia, bipolar); neurodegenerative disease (ALS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's), and cancer. Located in Lower Manhattan, the New York Genome Center was founded by and remains closely affiliated with twelve leading academic medical centers and research universities in the New York region and beyond, engaging in research projects with and for these institutions.
