Location Address: 925 West River Street, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin 54729Work Shift: 8hr-1st Shift 6a-2:30p Chippewa Falls (United States of America) The Shipping Clerk will take ownership of all aspects of shipping and receiving function for a HDPE extruded plastics products factory. This includes safety, quality, receiving, shipping, inventory, keeping records and provide reports. The candidate must have hands-on technical background in a high-volume manufacturing environment with shipping and distribution experience. ISO 9000 and Automotive supplier experience preferred. JOB SUMMARY:The Shipping Clerk will take ownership of all aspects of shipping and receiving function for a HDPE extruded plastics products factory. This includes safety, quality, receiving, shipping, inventory, keeping records and provide reports. The candidate must have hands-on technical background in a high-volume manufacturing environment with shipping and distribution experience. ISO 9000 and Automotive supplier experience preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. Inspect in-coming materials and report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping. Enter shipping and receiving data into JD Edwards inventory system to create Bill of Ladings. Assemble orders and prepare material for shipment. Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Determine method, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment. Coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received. Interact with freight carriers to ensure on time deliveries to customers. May be responsible for the cleanliness of trucks and work area. Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements. Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Monitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materials. Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules. Keep production lines supplied with raw materials. Inventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie product. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device. Other duties as assigned by management.
