Summary of Job Duties:This position is responsible for preparation, processing, and administration of sponsored research grant and contract awards, with services supporting faculty research endeavors. The Grants Accountant will be familiar with all relevant accounting guidelines and maintain communication with Division, University, and other affiliated offices as necessary. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a business related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Certified Grants Management Specialist

Accounting Degree

independently and under deadlines
2. Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and trust with broad and diverse
constituencies within a complex organization based upon integrity, critical thinking,
outstanding work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to prioritize and balance several major projects at the same time while
remaining flexible to changing priorities
4. Technical skills required include using electronic draw down systems, Microsoft Access and Excel. Workday software preferre
5. Sound fiscal and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to express ideas and positions to all levels of research personnel and administration.
6. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively and confidentially with individuals at all levels (faculty, staff, deans, etc.) and deal professionally with difficult situations.
